Obviously much like most GAOTD visitors I do not use any Quicken accounting software solutions so cannot evaluate the functionality of this but the system requirements published here OR those published on their product download page are incorrect either due to incompetence or marketin apearance of the innovativeness of the product. That sort of behaviour should have vanished with the advent of Windows Vista! it suggests the developer has placed files and settings that need to be writable into protected locations rather than limited user writable locations. It's incorrect programming practice to create a file converter tool that requires the end user to have administrator priviliges just to run the program. It is available in a portable archive onthe same page. User the with administrator privileges (see archive version below to use without the administrator privileges)
However, some CHARGE a fee to use quicken downloads, yes, amazing isn't it? Save | Cancel I agree that most financial institutions provide comma separated value data and/or QIF files, and yes, PDF versions of statements. I might add that in the last few versions of Quicken, the automatic download process has been very problematic, only working about 50% of the time without some kind of glitch. Since Quicken has gotten very buggy in recent versions, and a 2 year subscription may not be your cup of tea, nor do you want your data on the cloud (some other computer some where you cannot ensure its security or control access to it), your only option is a program like this or manual entry. Kalmly, If you use a version of Quicken 2016 or earlier, you can no longer download directly into Quicken without a new subscription to Quicken, and you can't even download a QIF file and then open it it with an older version of Quicken, the process causes the program to call home on the Internet during the process and if your subscription is not renewed, no go. At present I don't need it, as my bank still offers QIF and CSV as export files, but if it decides to drop QIF files then I will be ready!! I will keep this program (one of the few that I have found useful from GOTD in the last year or so, and the easiest to download). There is provision to tweak the CSV/Excel files to match your particular version of Quicken. It converted CSV and Excel files to QIF files which imported easily into my copy of Quicken. The software itself worked as advertised.
Everything was done efficiently and professionally. These were sent by, a SaaS payments provider. Two follow-ups by email provided an invoice (nil total), and the software key. A software key and the link to the software itself were also provided at the Checkout. I received a link from GOTD to a site () where i entered my email address and was automatically given a discount which made the cost of the software zero when I went to the Checkout with my purchase. I much prefer this method of downloading a file than the usual use of the GOTD wrapper.
